I love garage sales. Sometimes I ask Mark to watch Divina early on a Saturday morning so that I can do "garage sailing." Man, I have a good time! You've got find a neighborhood garage sale and start early, early, early...lest all the good stuff is gone. I like to start at 8am and work till 10. Today, oh man, I found some really winners. It started out pretty slow, little toy here, little book there, then **wham** I stopped mid-sidewalk. My heart actully skipped a beat. Surely it's too expensive, those things are at least $80 bucks at the store. Trying not to draw attention to myself (lest someone else spot it, too, and we getting into a bidding war), I casually strolled up to the man standing in his driveway surrounded by unwanted stuff. "How much do you want for the play house?" I said with a smile. "Oh, I don't know...$10?" ...(long, silent pause)... I looked at the house again making sure I wasn't really looking at a shoe box. A half hour later I had it at home and assembled. Divina came outside and emitted the best grunt of gratitude and awe ever! "Ohhh! Wee ooooh!" she said with a huge smile and promptly let herself in through in front door. She played there most of day, all the while chattering to herself and rearranging her toys within.

Take me garage sailing sometime! I'd love to go with you! When Dan is gone on weekends I'm often not sure what to do with myself.
