Learned about haikus on this fancy internet. Poems of three lines where the first and last lines have 5 syllables and the middle line has 7 syllables. There should be a reference to a season (although this may be subtle) and you should be led to see an everyday thing in a new way. Here I gave it a try:
This old pillow case
cools my sleepy cheek again;
purple velvet dreams.
Chocolate icecream
Carefully scooped late this night;
Devoured in haste.
His hand rests on my
Thigh where an hour ago there
Rested her bottom.
Sugar magnified
Reveals crystals; within each
sweet secret rainbows.
