Many years ago I would have dreams about flying...where I could fly...or levitate. In each dream the technique is the same. Here, I will tell you how it's done.
Stand in a place, relax, and become aware of the air around you. Feel the molecules brush against your skin. Soon you realize that you are immersed in air. Then, like when in water, you realize that the air is supporting you. You can bring the air closer to you, much like inhaling, but it's through your being or your skin. In doing this, your body is lifted in such a way that you sort of swim in the air, or float.
While this occurred for me in my dreams, several times, many years ago, I recall the sensation when trying to rest or go to sleep. I've not had any flying dreams for a very long time, but I savor the memory.
