So I'm over my cold and I seem to have forgotten how to write. I've been sitting here just staring at the screen for ten minutes. Well, here's whats been going on this week:
On Sunday I pried myself out of bed and made my "ministerial debut." This sounds much grander than it actually is. I got to say things like "Please stand, as you are able, to sing our opening hymn # 123 Spirit of Life." Wooo. One cool thing was I picked the chalice lighting words. I chose the bit that is written in the "about me" section of this blog...right over there >>>. Everyone listened, then there were several "mmm"s when I was done. Cool. The bad thing was that the Advil Cold & Sinus really did a number on me and I was out of it the whole time. The benefit was I was too doped up to be nervous. Brad, the speaker and also a facilitator at PUUF, did most of the prep work for the service, work I was suppposed to do. In all, I'm glad I made myself go.
The cold wrecked havoc with me all week. On Wednesday I lost my voice..or rather..I just gave up trying to talk. Also, in an effort to keep the child occupied, we went to Legoland twice. That's two Fireman shows, too. Two! I'm officially a crazy lady.
It seems like there was a grand revelation this week that I wanted to share with you. Maybe it was the drugs.

Glad you're feeling better. Hey, that's the best. To be all doped up and speaking to people. I'm sure you said some pretty interesting and mind boggling things that made them all think hard! Problem is you'll never know what those things were :-)
