In the Middle of Our Street

We just bought a house that we've never seen. Well, we saw it in pictures like these. We closed yesterday and my sister was our Power of Attorney. Apparently, they stopped by yesterday morning and the owner was there shoveling snow, so my mom jumped right in and helped him. Ha! Everyone has seen our house except us. It's kind of surreal.

So we are living in chaos right now. About 3/4 of our stuff is in boxes. Half of whats left is half in the box, half scattered all around the condo. We started packing two weeks ago. It's been a breeze with Little Miss helping. Not. She is very interested in what's going in the boxes, the boxes, the tape, the mountain the boxes make... a world to explore.

In the middle of all this, we got news that my sister-in-law and her husband are divorcing. That was a real shock. No one saw that coming. They are trying to maintain their friendship, but it's still very sad. We love Will a lot and will miss him.

A month ago Divina's birthmother called our adoption agency and said that her daughter (20) is pregnant and is considering an adoption plan for the baby if we would be the parents. The agency does not have a way to contact her and she has not called back. We think she doesn't have a phone. So it's just out there. We are sort of mentally prepared to received a call saying to come get the baby, but we are also prepared to hear that "T" decided to parent the baby, too.

Mark is swamped with work right now. Thank goodness the house sale is all done. He's been trying to work from home in our bedroom on our dining room table. Then he packs or watches Divina so I can pack. It's exhausting. I'm struggling to complete a single task.

On another note, I've just officially crossed the line to the completely uncool. Yesterday, I bought a pair of shoes. Dr. Scholls brand.

Yes I hurt my eyes trying to see those things but it still looks very nice. I bet you guys are so excited. You better be finished soon with the packing or else.

And I guess I way uncool a while back because when I was pregnant with Alyssa I bought a pair of Dr Scholls sandals. I thought they were stylish but now I have to rethink!

When you guys get there take some more photos and try again. Or maybe the setting on your blog is set to small? Try uploading atleast one again and see what the setting says on the upload page.
