Keep Up!

We live in Ohio. Yeah, we moved again. We're settling in nicely. It's a fun place. Of course we managed to rent a house on the wrong side of the street. All the kids live directly across the street. Learning the ropes of a new neighborhood is always fun. It's amazing how things are the same where ever you go.

Yesterday the temps reached a scorching 45 degrees. (Remember California?) I noticed that the front doors across the street were open with only the screen/glass doors closed. Ah, this must be some sort of signal. There were no kids in sight, but I opened our front door to see if anyone would come around. Five minutes later I realized I must have opened some sort of portal because two little girls appeared in the yard across the street, standing side by side, just staring at our house. With our beacon accepted, we visited the two children heavy houses and had a wonderful time.

Divina's birthday was yesterday. Five. Five! Good grief. We had McDonald's for lunch, where they gave her a free ice cream cone, and two toys in her Happy Meal! Nice. Then we signed her up for a preschool nearby. She starts today. After dinner at the mall, we came home and enjoyed a very tiny birthday cake purchased at Kroger's. We didn't have any birthday candles, so I used my decorative, scented candle from the living room. She savored our Mom & Dad only birthday song and blew out the candle with pride.

Although I am super late,

Happy Birthday Divina!
Why did I think Christopher was way older than she? It's only 2 months. Christopher starts Kindergarten in August, I am scared
