Hero

Da da da da da da da!!!! (That was supposed to sound like the 21st Century Fox intro.) My hero of the day is.... E L L E N. Okay, you probably don't know Ellen. She's my friend from the SCA who for some reason, I don't know why, thinks I'm all right and fun to be with. This makes me think she's a strange girl...imagine that, me, fun. Ha. Anyway, today I went to church, nodded off at least four times, and found my friend waiting for me in the Social Hall. We went to lunch at the OCB (surprize, surprize.) Ellen was my replacement for Mark (in Milwaukee) and filled in without a glitch. Going to restaurants requires strategy, team work...choreography even. Well, Ellen gave Divina a piece of cabbage and Divina seems to like it. I mean she put the cabbage in her mouth and immediately raised her arms in the air as if to signal a touch down. Then another bite and "touchdown". She did this at least five or six times. Wow. She really likes cabbage. After all that we went to the mall so that I could get a much needed hair cut. You see, I've been cutting my own hair for about two months now. It was looking too good. So Ellen entertained Divina and I indulged in 20 minutes of freedom. It's funny, when we got back to the car, Ellen asked me if I noticed all the looks we were getting in the mall. I guess I hadn't noticed anything unusual. It seems I've gotten used to people staring at us, wondering what I'm doing with this baby. I must tune it out or, perhaps, I think they are just being sociable. . . Drat. Divina is in bed crying. Enough blogging tonight.
