Connie in bluejeans
Digs and digs and digs and digs;
under dogwood tree.
Dirt under nails grow
Plans for Halloween in spring!
Fairy garden screams.
Into house she comes
Smelling of tomato leaves;
Missing lab? Think not.
Potato, carrot,
Onion, Chicken, chop,
Into crock pot toss.
Few cats here, some there,
Dog follows everywhere;
Neighborhood grandma.
Big car cruising now,
Drives 465.
Why are they honking?
Lil’ purse draped mid-arm;
Dainty lady hither comes.
Beware swinging brick.
Delivers birthday cake,
Special frosting flowers;
Only slanted some.
Night’s here, time for drinks;
Pepsi, ice, Southern Comfort.
Lar’ snores in big chair.
Mom sleeps, TV on.
Daughters grown, always loving,
Connie in bluejeans.
