Before Divina I loved doing housework. It was fun and I'd almost look forward to it. I make (most of) my own cleaning products. Vinegar, baking soda, and club soda are my favorite ingredients. My house was usually fit for visitors at any moment. These days, not so. I blow it off, frequently. When the mainentance man comes, or someone comes by to drop something off, anyone, I make a mad dash to tidy up, often throwing great quantities of junk in the closet or Divina's bathroom. I'm tired these days. I have time to do it, just tired. Right now there is a pile of laundry to be folded on the arm chair, been there since Wednesday. There's dishes on the counter, been there since yesterday morning. Then there's all the crap laying around that just evolves over time. Our bathroom is the real loser here. It's always dirty. The tub has a gray muddy substance, the toilet...well, it's the toilet, and the sink is sticky. I don't care very much about our bathroom these days. It used to be the cleanest room in the house. Alas. I'd rather blog. All this and Mark says he still loves me. I'm not perfect. Not even close. I've become a slob. I didn't even shower today. I should break something so the maintenance man will come.

Yay, you're not alone! Brave of you to admit about the gray substance in the tub..hehehehe.
You all should come for a visit/playdate over here once our disaster has cleared up. I'll have to write about that later today in my blog. Then I am sure you'll feel like a SAHM good-at-housework Queen!
Look we have kids and it's just not the same as before. I am slowly coming to terms with that. Dishes since yesterday! HAH try dishes for a few days. I left it there hoping the dishwashing fairy would either load the dishwasher or do it by hand but she never showed up! Then Chris finally said after a few days, "What is going on with this sink?" We watched each other and laughed. We're not bothered as much about these little things as before. Both sides were overflowing with dirty dishes and you know what, he started using dirty utensils.
They love us!
Yay you guys! I'm always relieved to see I'm not alone.
Sometimes Malc cleans circles around me after being out of the house 11 hours a day, and he is an OCD dish-washer, which pushes every guilt button I have about being a SAHM (yep! I'm officially one as of 9/8!) We are kind of like the Odd Couple, except that he does have a higher tolerance for mess than he did before Hana. Having had kids for the past 19 years, I've pretty much always had some tolerance for mess though.
