Lazy Housewife: Plan 1

I try not to dish dirt about Mark on this site. But today is the day. Lately, he's been doing the dishes. This irritates me to no end. I've been turning so as to not see the offense while he's doing it. But I mentioned it this morning, something about him doing the dishes lately, and he explained that he's been doing them because I've (okay he said we) been leaving on the counter, dirty, for days.

Here's what happened: I had been keeping up with MY dishes. I used to rinse them and put them in the dishwasher, if full, stack them. Mark would leave a trail of dirty dishes on the counter, fork left in place, unrinsed. So I stopped rinsing, too. I'd had enough. I started leaving my dirty dishes on the counter, just like Mark. But I'd stack them, so as to not take up the ENTIRE counter. I see this as an improvement on his system. I guess he found this offensive. This started about three weeks ago. So this morning he tells me, with great pride, that he's washing the dishes now because of the mess. He's poking fun at me for being a "lazy housewife." Note: Lazy housewife is my term, not his. The way I see it, my plan is almost working. I just want the man to rinse HIS dishes and put them in the washer, or stack. Soon he will grow tired of washing, like me, and come to the conclusion that we should ALL rinse our OWN dishes and put them away. Mwah ha ha. I'm so clever.
