Well, sit down.
First off, we made an offer on a certain house but while waiting for a counter offer the universe cracked open and all rules of physics crumbled to the ground. My mom and my dad both contacted me about the same house for sale by owner. They independently picked out the same house for us. They agree on something. Next thing you know, I'll become a theist. So we are trying to buy this house from this guy, Todd. So far so good. He's accepted our offer and we're just trying to make it work. My brain hurts.
Now, are you sure you're sitting down?
Mid-pants (I was dressing Divina between ballet class and a playdate with Christopher) my phone rang and I thought for sure it was my attorney about our purchase contract for the house. It was not. It was Katrina from the adoption agency that helped us find Divina. Divina has a half-sister (age about 20 and we'll call her T). T and Divina's birthmother contacted the agency because T is six months pregnant (approx) and is considering an adoption plan for the baby. She has not decided on adoption yet, but if she does, she wants the adoption to be with us. She has been impressed with our continued communication with Divina's birthmother and it would be wonderful to keep the family together. I told Katrina that financially this is a bad time for this as far as adoption fees go, but if they can help us with that, we are very interested. All this was said through tears and gasping. We are approaching this with the knowledge that T is just exploring her options and we are just letting her know that we can be there for her baby in this way.
Breath.

Even though I know it's not a definite thing I am still excited for you all. Good Luck on the house.
I like your lady over on the right there but what's up with the monkey?
I find it funny that they all look like you. :-)
Oh, I'm glad I was already sitting down!
Wow...wouldn't that be cool, if you got the house *and* could add another child to your home.
How exciting!
Could not be more excited for you. I'm beside myself with the thought of getting my sister, brother in law, my "baby girl" and possibly another close by. We'll do all we can to help.
Annie
p.s.
I spotted the house too
So are you guys out getting drunk since you got the house or what? People are waiting to find out!
