Bad Luck

I'm having a string of bad luck. Is that even possible? During the past two weeks bad things keep happening to me with increasing frequency.

I lost my new iPod Nano that Mark gave me for our anniversary.

I have another sty in my eye (the other eye).

Someone outbid us on the house we want. Bastards.

While at the airport I dropped my tickets and $200 credit slip between flights and had to return to the gate. *Found by security and retrived by me. *Dropped because of unknown zipper on bottom of luggage bag. *Who would put a zipper on the bottom of a bag? *I haven't told Mark that story because you'd think a person would know about a zipper after owning a bag for three years.

My car has a large dent on the front bumper apparently produced during a parking lot hit and run.

Divina broke a video tape of her opening Christmas presents from my Dad and Peggy. It remains unseen by anyone.

BUT here is the good news. Divina hits a lot..thats not the good part, keep reading...so I took her an assesment at a behavioral health center. The assesment took an hour and she mostly played games and talked with a very nice lady. They did things like puzzles, draw lines and circles, stand on one foot, cut with scissors, and some other fun stuff. Divina scored above average on all of the tests and at a 5 year old level on most. Wow. Now I can drive people even more crazy when I brag about her. I've got test scores to prove it. She's a genious! *Genius is my word, not the center's. What do they know?

A side note: While at the doctor's office for my ugly, itchy, hurting, red, puffy eye, the nurse asked me for the reason for my visit. (Blank stare.) I said to Divina "Can you tell the nurse whats wrong with my eye?" She said "Oh, Mommy's eye is TERRIBLE." Heh.

Sorry about the outbiding on the house. That sucks as I would have wanted it also just because of the tub and the yard....hehehe

Well what did they say about the hitting. The last few times we saw you guys she wasn't hitting Christopher anymore. Personally I think that is normal. Some kids bite, some spit...well you know where I am going with this. I am no doctor but I just thought she was at the age.

We need to see you guys soon...you MUST let me know when you have some free time if ever. Atleast before you guys fly outta here.

Wow, indeed! I kind of figured Divina was high on the genius spectrum.
Carrie, that does sound like total string o bad luck. To think I was feeling sorry for myself cause I lost my ATM card. Dang, woman. May you have luck beyond your wildest dreams starting right now!!!
I have heard/read so many people say they've lost stuff recently.
Well, and damn whoever outbid you on your house, but another home will come along, more wonderful than the previous.
Hope your terrible eye is better, *and* you find your ipod!!

PS - My older daughter was a biter, I might have shared that with you before. Not that it makes it "OK", but I agree that it seems like common thing at that age.
