Makes Me Laugh

Divina has become such a drama queen. When she is faced with options she doesn't like she folds her arms, chin to chest, and pouts. "No way!" she insists with a conviction one might believe I just asked her to remove her head. Or she'll throw herself on the floor, yowling a dejected cry. I used to get annoyed with such displays, but a few weeks ago something changed. I can't name it and it happened overnight. She went into one of her protests and I chuckled. Of course, I tried to hold it in, but it was so darn funny. I've always been an extremely aware parent, always trying to monitor and direct her emotional development, always trying to control my own reactions so as to not embarrass her or make her feel small. But this seems out of my control. It's a reaction like a tiny hammer hitting the knee. Out pops the bottom lip and I'm giggling. What kind of twisted parenting is this?
