Bird

Autumn is here and the days are crisp, even when it's warm. All the windows are open most of the time, even in the car. Yesterday, I heard giggling from the back seat. I turned to see Little Miss leaning in her seat with her face turned to catch the wind blowing in from the open window. Her long braids, with butterfly barrettes, were flopping back away from her face. Her arms were outstretched from side to side and she was waving them up and down, like a bird. There she was, flying, who knows where, and it was the most beautiful thing I've ever seen.
