Hamsters bite. Fish loose their flare in a few weeks. Guinea pigs don't fetch. Mice stink. Alas, what is a family to do?
A dog.
Mark and I each grew up with dogs in the family and what wonderful family members they were. It's not about teaching Divina responsibility or providing a lesson for her. It's about friendship and love.
So I checked the Pet Refuge website (local no kill shelter that fosters pets in private homes when possible) and saw Mariah. They had an "Adopt a Dog" day on Saturday and we went with bells on. There was Mariah, the coolest, quietest, most lady like one there. Also, one of the smallest, even for a Beagle. We filled out the application and she now has "adoption pending" on her picture at the website (www.petrefuge.com). We hope to hear about our application in the next day or so.

She has a really sweet face! It's amazing to me how fast they steal your heart. Tucker stole mine in about five minutes. Pre-Congrats on the new doggie!!!
How long does it take to be approved? I've been checking the site daily to find out some news hoping they would update immediately once they approve you guys :-)
So if I understood correctly you guys aren't moving anymore? Right?
Take Care
So I see congratulations are in order. I told you I kept checking. :-) Have you guys picked her up yet?
Mariah, has some pretty cool parents.
